Our biennially congress is one of the most important and most extensive activities of our club. IMSRC aims to bring medical students from all around the world in order to present their research, share their experiences, learn most current developments, interact with other students and enjoy the beauty of Istanbul. Throughout the conference, delegates will have the opportunity to Exchange knowledge, discuss their work and gain different aspects on medical subjects Hundreds of participants from all over the world improve their skills by participating in workshops. We also award students to encourage them.

The congress’ from 2007 to 2013  hosted a lot of students from 35 countries and over 500 students from 16 medical faculties of our country at every once. The number of daily audiences extended 700. Oral and poster presentations in panels were selected during a long and meticulous process and they were all presented to a huge number of audiences during the conference. In 2009, Prof. Dr. Gazi Yaşargil was the chairman of Neuroscience Panel and shared his thoughts about neurosurgery with over 700 medicals students during the 3 hours long panel. He was honored as “Neurosurgery’s Man of the Century” by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, on the cover of prestigious magazine of the association “Neurosurgery” and described as the most important neurosurgeon of the 20th century with Harvey Cushing.

Our congress’ are followed by both national and international communities. In 2007, the magazine “Science and Technology” by TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey) mentioned IMSRC and last year, 3 awarded scientific studies which were presented in the congress were published in Australasian Medical Journal (AMJ). Also our congress’ have been introduced and supported by respected medical organizations like International Student Medical Congress Kosice (ISMCK´09), 10th Medicalis International Congress, International Student Congress of Medical Sciences 2009 (ISCOMS), Indian Medical Students’ Association and Leiden Medical Academy.

İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty Students’ Scientific Research Club is continuing to light up the future with its biennial and now traditional IMSRC.
